Hardware alone does not an OpenSys product make. In order to live up to the high standards that are expected of an OpenSys branded product, the built-in software is the ultimate differentiator. The ESM Base Application is rich and versatile that can easily be customised to meet any requirements. It enables high levels of user interaction, making the ESM very easy to use. Besides all the local processing, the Base Application also handles ESM's interface to various back-end systems such as core processing, back-office cheque processing and remote monitoring systems. This tested and proven application makes it easy to seamlessly integrate the ESM into any self-service network and can allow for straight-through transaction processing.
Monitoring the health status of the entire network of ESMs is done remotely from a central location using the Terminal Manager. It provides a graphical view that describes the state of health of all ESMs installed or shows details of each individual ESM. This enables proper replenishment of consumables and servicing of hardware malfunctions to effectively reduce ESM down time. Terminal Manager can also be used to remotely control and configure the ESMs, and generate performance and statistical reports.
Software Manager enables the management and maintenance of the ESM Base Application installed on the remote ESM. It distributes and installs updates or upgrades of various software components. This eliminates the need to have personnel physically present at each ESM location to perform the same maintenance.
The distribution process can be scheduled to logically grouped clusters of ESMs for easier and automated application updates. Software Manager also displays graphically the distribution process for monitoring purposes.
For organizations that do not already have a self-service network, Transaction Manager provides the bridge or gateway between the ESMs and the back-end processing system. It is installed at a central location and is highly adaptable to operate in various environments. It has much functionality required by the ESMs to query the back-end systems for information, seek transaction authorisation and update transactions in real-time. In addition, Transaction Manager can also generate transaction reports. |
